Green Acres, formerly the Goodrich-Ramus barn, stands as Eden Prairie's oldest barn, steeped in Minnesota history. It became the city's exclusive event center on March 1, 2013. Threatened by demolition in 2009 for road expansion, the barn was rescued by Eden Prairie and the Historical Society, supported by Steven Schussler, creator of the Rainforest Cafe® chain, who invested in its restoration after learning about its plight in a Star Tribune article.
